Farhana Mou

Farhana Chowdhury, stage name Farhana Mou. I am a mathematician, teaching maths in secondary level. My degree is in Financial Mathematics. Also training in cyber security. I’m multilingual in Bangla, English, french, Hindi, Urdu. Arabic.

I am the cultural secretary of Probashi Odhikar Porishad. I worked with many tv channels & media. I was head of communications & alliance for Iontv, live show & news presenter for Iontv, NTV, Islam Chanel, etc
I was the membership secretary of a cultural organisation Purbachal the Eastern sky. I present a Bangla radio show called Shudhu bangla, every Sunday 7-9 on Diverse FM. I perform many stage shows where I sing, dance, act & model for fashion. I used to be the dance facilitator of CYCD (Centre for Youth and Community Development) where I taught heritage dances to young children & perform along with them. I took part in modelling Eid fashion shows. I lead Eid fashion parade for several years in Oxford, London & Luton town. My latest challenge was to act as a leading actress of a supernatural thriller. The film Spellbound was released on the 24th of February, at Cineworld, Ilford.

Born in Dhaka Bangladesh, did my primary studies in Holy Cross School, moved to Canada in my early teens where I studied in French medium in Montreal, & finished OAC in Lisgar Collegiate (equivalent of A level) in Ottawa & enrolled to study Maths in Ottawa University. Then I moved to Uk by marriage at the age of 20. Worked in editing newspapers in London using Adobe photoshop & QuarkXpress. Did my degree later on Financial Mathematics from University of Hertfordshire. Been living & teaching in Welwyn Garden City ever since.

From early years I enjoyed taking part in many extra curricular activities besides studies. I acquire my skills in singing & dancing from Jhonkar Lalitokola Academy in Dhaka. Table tennis, basketball, archery are my favourite sports out of many. I was the debate president of Holy Cross School. Was always the heart of cultural shows in school & in community. In secondary school in Canada I managed to gather up with Bengali community & ran a radio program in Bangla for an hour every Sunday from Carlton university, Ottawa.

My husband Afzal Azhar Chowdhury is a barrister solicitor is the head of legal service for the police force. He studied in private boarding schools. Hence a bit detached from our culture. Also training to become a district judge.

Since marriage I faced many challenges & was out of touch with Bangla culture for a while. My pride & joy was in raising my 4 children.

I am a fun loving person yet like to take my responsibilities seriously. The richness of Bangla culture inspires me. I love working with children & would like to help our children learn the best of our culture & get more involved in cultural activities.

AIDA HADZIC

Aida Hadžić is a strategic and impact-driven professional with over 10 years of experience at the intersection of high-level government affairs, international relations, executive engagement, and cross-sector leadership. Her dynamic career spans banking, energy markets, humanitarian operations, and EU-level political advocacy, including impactful contributions to international negotiations and diplomatic initiatives.

She currently leads the Case Study Lab, a training and advisory hub specializing in financial English, leadership communication, and negotiation skills tailored for professionals across Europe and the MENA region. Aida has also experience in energy procurement strategies where she works for large clients including Fortune 500 companies, risk management in the banking sector, and co-developed national and international events fostering B2B and G2G partnerships.

Her public policy acumen is grounded in a Master’s from the University of Oxford, accompanied by work at Saïd Business School, but also by fieldwork in humanitarian development, strategic consulting. With fluency in English, German, and Bosnian, she brings a global perspective and multilingual edge to every project.
